Code of Conduct

GOALL is a thriving community of language learners, and we have established these guidelines to foster a shared understanding of what it means to be a part of this community. It is essential to adhere to these guidelines, as we take appropriate action if any violations occur. Please read them carefully.

Cultivate Respect and Understanding

As individuals from various corners of the world, we unite here with a common purpose—to learn. We encourage curiosity, questioning, and cultural understanding. Treat others with respect, recognizing and appreciating their perspectives and backgrounds.

Support Across All Skill Levels

We are all on this language learning journey together. Acquiring a new language can be challenging and demands courage and dedication. If you come across someone who struggles with grammar or poses seemingly obvious questions, kindly and calmly offer your assistance. Engaging in mockery or exhibiting mean-spirited behavior impedes learning. If you can't offer constructive feedback, refrain from commenting.

Celebrate Regional Language Differences

Languages possess a kaleidoscope of words, accents, and expressions to convey the same message. Let's celebrate this linguistic richness with open-mindedness and enthusiasm. Engage in conversations about regional language differences with a sense of wonder and appreciation.

Exercise Caution When Sharing

Your safety and privacy are of utmost importance to us. Language learning is inherently social, but please exercise caution when sharing personal information. Avoid exchanging or posting sensitive data, such as your phone number, age, address, school name, or email. Over-sharing can compromise your privacy. We do not condone sharing personal data or encouraging others to do so. Violating this rule may result in the removal of your post and possibly your account.

Avoiding Personal Attacks

GOALL is a safe and inclusive space that welcomes learners from diverse backgrounds. Harassment and content intended to cause harm are strictly prohibited. This includes the use of symbols, names, or text that promote hate, as well as engaging in behaviors such as harassment, stalking, impersonation, or making sexual remarks towards others. Additionally, nudity, disturbing profile pictures, and usernames are not permitted. GOALL reserves the right to replace images or remove accounts that violate these guidelines at its discretion. Remember, if your actions make someone feel attacked or hurt, it is not appropriate. Reports of such behavior are taken seriously, and if verified, your account may be deleted without prior notice.

Avoid Spamming the Forum or People's Streams

Posting irrelevant, abusive, illegal, or nonsensical content in forums or any section of GOALL can result in the deletion of your account. This includes creating posts without substance or any form of spamming. While it is acceptable to share external resources and links, be aware that spamming, promoting referral codes, advertising, or excessively endorsing products/services is not allowed. Posts and references of this nature may be removed without warning.

Be Thoughtful in Your Comments

Contributions that contain hateful, obscene, or off-topic comments do not contribute to the learning environment. Additionally, using profanity is discouraged as it is best for individuals to encounter and learn such words in natural contexts. Please maintain a respectful and focused approach during language discussions.

To Summarize

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the following types of content:

We want to emphasize that attempting to exploit any potential loopholes in these guidelines will not be tolerated. Any content that violates the spirit of these guidelines will be promptly removed, and users who disregard these rules risk losing partial or full access to GOALL without prior warning.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can all contribute to maintaining an interesting and helpful learning community for everyone. Let's work together to foster a positive and supportive environment for language learners on GOALL.
